Nyton Hotel - Ely

review: The old-world charm of The Nyton definitely stood out, along with its good gardens. Though the decor feels a bit dated and the shower pressure left something to be desired, the warmth of the staff and the excellent breakfast made up for it. The staff is efficient, hospitable.

The restaurant was magnificent for breakfast, we ordered amazing dishes. The street view was magnificent. The location of the hotel was stunning - not too far from Ely Cathedral.

Property was pleasant and bright, I truly enjoyed the stay.

The service was attentive, I was offered a freshly prepared and satisfactory breakfast with a very helpful waitress and Army fried bread, as example. The location was great and beautiful, at a moderate distance from Ely Cathedral. There was an excellent restaurant at a moderate distance from the hotel.

Good Stay in Ely

Choosing this guesthouse was a fantastic decision, especially since it’s conveniently located within walking distance of the Cathedral and other attractions. I was pleasantly surprised by the really good quality of breakfast served, featuring a wide selection alongside the attentive service. The free private parking on-site was an unexpected bonus, allowing me to enjoy my visit stress-free.

In spite of holding an Award from the aa for the quality of its dinners , our experience did not justify this. Warm bottle of Rose and a warm cooler for the wine!!!

The hotel was quiet and yet within walking distance of the town centre. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

sticky plaster holding tv cable to the wall could easily and cheaply be replaced with proper fixings that would give a better impression of the hotel

The cozy old-style building features a beautiful green garden, perfect for a quiet moment outside. The Wi-Fi connection works well throughout the hotel, great for easy browsing while you stay.

The twin room we stayed in felt cramped and dated, showcasing worn carpet and outdated decor that could use a refresh. The en-suite bathroom had a peculiar layout, with the shower tucked behind the door and limited space for toiletries. I also found the breakfast options lacking. The cereal served was stale, and the full English came swimming in grease. While the atmosphere held a certain charm, the overall experience left much to be desired, prompting us to reconsider longevity of stay.

Not having the booked twin room available on checking in. Had to put up with family room. Very sullen reception.

It suited me. Convenient, pleasant surroundings. Good car parking. Comfortable . I will be happy to stay there again next year.

Charming guesthouse with really good service.

Bedroom very clean and tidy. (See below). Very comfortable bed with lovely very clean cotton sheets. (I know some people do not like cotton, I do) Breakfast room very clean and tidy.

The gloss paint in the bedroom was very chipped and tired, especially around the window. Otherwise very good, but I don't think the bedroom is 'still' up to aa 4*, but it was value for money, considering what they charge. I would still recommend it to friends. The extractor fan for the kitchen under the window of bedroom four is noisy, especially when it comes on and wakes you up at 6.30am, but I got back to sleep. This is just a minor moan! Probably would not wake others! It was hot and I had the windows open.
